The Hobbiton Movie Set was a key filming location used for The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The original set was not built to last. In 2010, the set was rebuilt in a more permanent fashion for The Hobbit trilogy. Various tours can be booked through this site.

Many scenes of The Lord of the Rings trilogy have been shot in Deer Park Heights; most notably the attack of the wargs in The Two Towers. Visit the site to make an online booking for a scenic drive. You will receive an access code to enter at the toll gate.

The Fernside Gardens were used for the scenes in which The Fellowship leaves Lothlorien and where Sméagol kills Déagol to obtain the ring.
